Bluetooth

Bluetooth is a wireless technology that allows for greater connectivity to fixed and/or wireless devices over a secure connection. Many people know this technology in the form of an earpiece which is a wireless and safe way to talk on their cell phone. While the devices may vary in appearance, they maintain a very sci/fi look to them. Bluetooth frees up both hands and allows for a person to fully engage in another activity such as while working or driving. Many cities throughout the U.S. are implicating bans on cell phone use while driving and a handsfree Bluetooth device may be a way to safely talk while obeying the law. Always check local and state policies on specific use.

Cell phones are just one of many application for this technology. Wireless printing, faxing, PDA sychronization, and home appliance linking to a network are some more examples of how Bluetooth can be used.

  1. When bluetooth first came out i thought people were talking to themselves. Bluetooth is a very clever way to be hands free. I still to this day find it very annoying when people are in a store talking very loud using this device. Although this little piece of technology has saved people driving in new jersey many of tickets, i still find it easier to just wait to talk on the phone.

  2. Bluetooth is a great thing to have. The problems with it are the fact when you get text messages you can't have it read you the message. it is great for work and and driving.

  5. Bluetooth is an excellent way for someone to be hands free while talking on the phone. Now that they past that new law I bet will be seeing more people with these hands free sets.

  6. I think blutooth is just the beginning of what to expect in the future. I think it might get so revolutionized that there will be no defects in it, or maybe the entire system will be redesigned. But I definitely don’t think that blutooth will stay at the same level

  7. i don't know what to say about this one....yes it is really great technology but evryone with one looks like the crazy talking to them selves, or even better you think that they are talking to you but its someone on the other line.
    can be confusing

  8. Bluetooth is convenient for driving in the car, or while doing other things. I would never buy one, but hey ,if it floats your boat, go for it.

  9. I like the fact that i can talk on my phone without my hands when i am driving. It also saves me from having to pay the tickets when a police officer sees me talking on my phone with my hand at my ear. This is definatly a plus when you are on the go.

  10. Talk about handy dandy, and to make driver happy, safe to use while driving as a "hands free" device. Its funny watching people talk on it though as they walk by, they look like they're talkin to themselves.

  11. When I see people using the bluetooth i always think they are talking to themselves. I honestly am not comfortable with one in my ear. I do think it is a very good thing especially for those who can not stay off their phones while they are driving. I just don't like the people who walk around with the device in their ear all day long looking like they are important.

  12. Bluetooth technology reminds me of Javascript programming, or the element nitrogen.

It's ubiquitous, not many people know how it works, and it's pretty necessary for things to work these days.

  13. Bluetooth technology is everywhere...even in places that you wouldnt think such as car radios and gps units. It's also not only used for hands free talking on your cell phone but you can send files now via bluetooth to other individuals cell phones.
