ReplyDeleteWeb confrencing is here now! i remeber when we would only see this technology advertised on tv programs and movies before it had been perfected yet. Usually on spy (JAMES BOND TYPE) movies a man would have a small device where he could interact through a two way computer screen that could see and hear him and his boss back at the headquarters. I grew up watching this fantasy technology in cartoons and movies. Great to know that video conferencing is a thing of the present and video conferences through cell phones might be a thing of the near future
ReplyDeleteI think this idea is great, mostly because I hate meetings. I get so bored and usually can’t pay attention unless I am multitasking. In a face-to-face meeting, not giving your full attention to whoever is droning on is usually considered in appropriate. But sometimes I feel that face to face meetings are more effective especially in our group for this class.
ReplyDeleteI work at a financial institution and web conferences are a must if you want to do meeting between branches. We use the Skype program with the video option. Very cool.
ReplyDeleteThis is interesting. Our instructors actually suggested teleconferencing/videoconferencing to me for our group. Thought it was a god idea. I just had no idea what to do with it.
