AIM

AIM is a great way to keep in touch with friends and family. All you have to do is sign in, and look at the screen to see which of your friends are currently online. You click on their name and hit "send message" and write what ever you please.

Its sort of like talking on the phone, except you type what you want to say to them instead of speak it.

It's a great way to communicate with others, especially if you are one of those people that do no enjoy talking on the phone.

  1. I found AIM to be more useful at work than at home. Lotus Notes, our email software at work, has an AIM feature which works basically the same as the Microsoft version in that it allows you to see who's online or available. It is nice not to have to look up or remember phone numbers and you do not have to worry about busting in on a teleconference.
